Filtered shower water

The last water in your home nobody filters.

Norvel reduces chlorine, heavy metals and sediment before the water reaches your skin and hair. Built on multi-stage filtration media made in Georgia — not a shower head with a rock in it.

The part nobody mentions

What's actually coming out of your shower head

US municipal water is disinfected with chlorine or chloramine — by design, and for good reason. It keeps the water safe on the way to your house. It just doesn't stop being a disinfectant once it arrives.

You filter what you drink. Then you stand under eight unfiltered gallons of it for ten minutes, at temperature, with your pores open.

  • Reduces free chlorine and chloramine
  • Captures iron, lead, mercury and other heavy metals
  • Filters sediment, rust and scale from older pipes
  • Keeps full pressure — no trickle

Why it matters

What changes in the first two weeks

Nothing dramatic on day one. The difference shows up in how your skin and hair behave by week two.

01

Skin that isn't tight after a shower

Chlorine strips natural oils. Remove it and your skin stops overcompensating with dryness or oil.

02

Colour that holds longer

Chlorinated water is hard on dyed hair. Filtered water is a cheap way to protect an expensive salon appointment.

03

No more film on the tile

Sediment and scale from older pipes ends up on your glass, your grout, and your hair.

Inside the cartridge

Six stages, not a handful of beads

Norvel cartridges use KDF-style redox media paired with coconut shell activated carbon — the same class of media used in whole-house systems, packed into a housing the size of a fist.

The redox stage converts free chlorine and pulls heavy metals out of solution. The carbon stage handles what's left, including the smell.

  • Redox media for chlorine and dissolved metals
  • Coconut shell activated carbon
  • Sediment pre-filter for rust and grit
  • Rated for roughly 10,000 gallons — about six months

Setup

Five minutes, no plumber

It threads onto standard US shower arms. If you have ever changed a shower head, you have already done this.

1

Unscrew

Twist your existing shower head off by hand. No tools needed.

2

Wrap and thread

Wrap the included tape on the shower arm and thread the Norvel filter on.

3

Reattach

Screw your own shower head back onto the filter outlet. Keep the head you like.

4

Flush 60 seconds

Run the water for a minute to clear the media, then you're set for six months.

Honest comparison

Not everything sold as a shower filter is one

Most of what sells online is a plastic cartridge of coloured beads. Here's what actually separates them.

Questions

Before you buy

Will it lower my water pressure?

No. The housing is sized so flow stays within the standard US shower head range of 1.8–2.5 GPM. You shouldn't notice a difference.

Do I have to replace my shower head?

No — that's the point. Norvel installs between the shower arm and whatever head you already own. If you'd rather have a matched set, the handheld and 2-in-1 combo include one.

How often do I change the cartridge?

Every six months for a typical two-person household, or roughly 10,000 gallons. Heavy use or very hard water shortens that. We'll email you a reminder.

Does it soften hard water?

Partly. It reduces the scale and hardness minerals that leave film on glass and hair, but it isn't a whole-house softener and we won't pretend otherwise.

Where does it ship from?

A warehouse in Georgia. Orders leave in 1–2 business days with tracking and reach most US addresses within a week.

What if it does nothing for me?

Return it within 60 nights for a refund. Skin and hair take about two weeks to show a difference, so give it at least that long before deciding.
